I have worked in higher education for thirteen years within the areas of enrollment, enrollment management, campus development, partnerships and student success.  I began my career in higher education when I realized my desire to help students learn how to balance work and school.

I hold a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Organizational Change from Benedictine University and a Master of Public Management Public Policy Administration from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne.  I enjoys getting to know my students and helping them to create a strong foundation for college success, and I believe that the most powerful lesson a student can learn is to maintain a balanced life. A student cannot succeed sans holistic wellness.

During your time at Indiana Tech, I will encourage you to use the gifts, strengths, and resources within to live purposefully and to grow beyond what you think is possible. I love getting to know my first-year students and believe that that they possess the natural talents to be whole. I am originally from upstate New York and have now been in Fort Wayne for several years. I earned my master’s degree in Student Development Counseling and Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.  I am also a certified Life Coach and am currently pursuing a PhD in Global Leadership. When I have free time, I love to explore the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.

I joined the Student Success team at the end of 2019, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work for Indiana Tech. I studied at Indiana Wesleyan University, and received my Bachelor’s in Addictions Counseling as well as my Master’s in Student Development Counseling and Administration. I believe students set the tone for campus life; therefore, as a student development professional, I value holistic engagement with students. I find great joy in helping students recognize their potential and empowering them to achieve personal and academic goals. College is often a time of adjustment and exploration, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside students as they experience the tension personal growth often requires. Out of the office, I love spending time with my husband Tim and our golden retriever, Cooper. I enjoy anything outdoors, watching college basketball, and quality time with friends.
