I have worked in higher education for fourteen years within the areas of enrollment, enrollment management, campus development, partnerships and student success. I began my career in higher education when I realized my desire to help students learn how to balance work and school.

I hold a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Organizational Change from Benedictine University and a Master of Public Management Public Policy Administration from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. I enjoy getting to know my students and helping them to create a strong foundation for college success. I believe that the most powerful lesson a student can learn is to maintain a balanced life. A student cannot succeed sans holistic wellness. I love to run, read and spend time with my husband and children, usually biking or swimming.

I am originally from southern Indianapolis and came to the Fort Wayne area for college. After graduating with my bachelor degrees in public relations and communication studies in 2012, I moved to the Fort Wayne area and have been here ever since. After spending some time working in the public relations and advertising industry; I realized I wanted to pursue a different calling and began my career in higher education and earned my Master’s degree in Student Affairs & Higher Education from Indiana State University in 2018.

After spending almost seven years helping prospective students navigate the college search process as an admissions counselor, I am excited to now work with current college students and help them make the most of their time in college as a Student Success Advisor. I am looking forward to meeting with students and hearing their stories, goals, and dreams and helping them strategize how they can be successful during their time as a college student and what success might look like for them personally. In my free time, you can find me playing Ultimate Frisbee, running around town on the trails, watching a good movie, or spending time with my family and friends.

CPS Student Success Advisor

My journey with Indiana Tech began in 2014 when I began pursuing a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership through the CPS online program. I worked full-time while attending an online program, and because of this, I understand some of the challenges our students currently face while earning their degree. In 2018, I decided to transition from nonprofit work to higher education because I desired to provide current students with the same help I was given during my educational experience. I accepted a position in the Career Center as a Career Coach for CPS students, and enjoyed working with the population of which I was once part. In my current role as a Student Success Advisor, I continue to work with students who are striving to complete their degrees while balancing both personal and professional responsibilities. My job is to pour into every student I come across, encourage them to persevere even when it gets tough, and celebrate their wins as they achieve their goals.

I am the advisor for the following degrees:

Associate of Science: Business Administration (Management), Business Administration (Production Management)

Bachelor of Science: Business Administration ( Construction Management),  Business Administration (Human Resource Management), Business Administration (InsurTech)  Business Administration (Marketing), Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice ( all concentrations), Bachelor of Science Marketing, Bachelor of Science Organizational Leadership, Bachelor of Science Sport Management
